1. Rosh Hanikra – 3 Hours

Tel Aviv is often overlooked when it comes to exploring the outdoors. It is actually in close proximity to some of the most beautiful places in Israel. 90 minutes away from Tel Aviv and you can be in the middle of the desert.

Rosh Hanikra is home to a major pilgrimage site. It is also the largest freshwater lake in Israel. While it is not in the Negev desert, it is the closest you will get to a desert in Israel.

2. Tzfat – 3 Hours

Tzfat, known as Yerushalayim, was once the capital of pre-Jews. It has a ton of history behind it and is a beautiful city surrounded by an amazing mountain backdrop.

It is one of the largest and oldest Jewish communities in the Holy Land. Your day trip can include a tour of the famous synagogue and the cemetery of Rabbi Nachman.

3. Caesarea – 3 Hours

Caesarea is one of Israel’s three biggest tourist cities. It is a city of culture, history and entertainment. Some of the major attractions include The Amphitheatre, the Roman Aqueduct, The Crusaders’ Castle, The Amphitheater and The Roman Fort.

4. Haifa – 3 Hours

A Mediterranean city located in Northern Israel, Haifa is home to one of the oldest port cities in the world. A port where people, merchandise, and stories are traded. Haifa is also the hometown of Baha’u’llah, the founder of a new religion that mixes Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Baha’u’llah is buried here. Haifa is also the biggest city in Northern Israel, therefore you can see a lot in one day.

5. Safed – 4 Hours

Safed is located north of Tel Aviv. Safed is considered the center of Jewish mysticism. It is a city where you can hear Jewish chanting echoing throughout the streets. Being only an hour away from Tel Aviv makes it a perfect day trip.
